june 2018

Through my consultancy work and various roles at financial institutions such as de Volksbank, SNS Reaal, the Dutch Banking Association (NVB), Triodos Bank and Aegon Nederland, I know what is happening within the financial sector.
I have gained a lot of experience in:
  • Strategy development

  • Setting up ESG investment policy and its implementation (Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance)

  • Impact investing

  • Integrated reporting

  • Stakeholder and issue management

  • Public Affairs

  • Setting up carbon accounting for investment funds and implementing climate change measurement tools

Spitsbergen expedition and Ambition, PCAF and Klimate statement NVB

I work with the financial sector in doing this, but have also developed my own initiatives, namely:

The agreements have been embraced by the rest of the sector and adopted by the Taakgroep Financiering (investment task force) and ultimately anchored in the Climate Change Agreement Klimaatakkoord

  • Platform Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) developing carbon accounting methodology for the financial sector, being there from the outset as part of my role with de Volksbank and ASN Bank. See also the first report regarding methodology methodologierapport

  • Instigator of the Dutch Banking Association’s climate change statement, in which the banks committed themselves to climate change objectives and report annually since
